Today I was shooting headshots and Clay got to join me.  Of course I was a little worried about bringing him, but he actually was wonderful.  In between handfuls of goldfish I asked him to sit up on my stool while I checked my set up and the lighting.  He only would sit for a second or two BUT I may have just taken my new favorite picture of him and his very first headshot.  I’m in love with him even more now.  And no, I just can’t cut those curls off yet.

Thanks for being such a good helper, buddy!

Amanda - Love this!!! Such an awesome little guy!

As a photographer I am always the one behind the camera. It’s just easier that way and honestly it’s nerve-wracking being photograhed…right?!  I’ve been wanting to be better about being in pictures, so when another local photographer offered “Mommy and Me Sessions” to other photographers, I decided to jump at the chance.  I’m so glad I did.  Not only did I get to meet another sweet photographer but I also got some special moments captured with my babies.  I’m going to make sure I do this more often.

Thanks to Jessica Corbin Photography!  You’re the sweetest!

Christina - These are so cute! You’ll love these when they’re older. :)

I simply love this family.  I’ve been photographing them since their oldest was just a baby.  It is really neat to see them grow as individuals and as a family.  They sure know how to make a nerve-wracking thing like having your pictures taken into something fun.

I think we all had a good time!

Becca - This family brings the world so much joy…how blessed our family is to know/love them :)

Apparently I’ve been on a bit of a blogging vacation this summer but it’s time to get back to it.  Other than all the rain that we’ve been getting here in Pittsburgh, it’s been a good and busy summer so far.  In between rain showers we’ve had a good bit of fun.

Anyway, I have a lot to share so I’ll be playing catch up over the next few weeks.  First up is my sweet nephew’s baptism  at the end of May.

It was a very special day for all of us.

Amanda - We love you, thanks for the special moments!!!

Family is a big deal to us.  Back in March we found ourselves making a trip to Maryland due to some sad circumstances.  On the up side it meant we got to spend time with cousin Cyrus and visit with my older sister Emily and my brother-in-law.

No matter what is going on around them kids are still kids and are just naturally happy and ready to play.  They live in the moment and that one of the most beautiful parts of childhood, I think.  While there I made sure to capture their cousin time.  I may have been sweating bullets while trying to take pictures of them but I’m happy with the results and the memories I captured.  I don’t aim for perfection but instead capturing the realness of the moment.
